A choice and appealing example of this ever popular Charlotte gold issue. This coin shows fully bright fields with a great strike and no major marks or damage of any kind.

US gold coins produced at the branch mints often received “less than ideal” dies that resulted in less than fully struck examples. In addition, specie was badly needed in the outlying areas and the branch mint gold coins often circulated heavily.

This is a beautiful, lustrous example of a Charlotte branch mint coin that has terrific eye appeal and is very tough to find (trust me, I live in Charlotte…). The light literally jumps off the coin!

Conservatively graded by PCGS and an outstanding branch mint coin destined for an advanced cabinet.
