A wonderful example of this scarce Vermont die variety. This piece shows nice medium to light brown color on both sides. The obverse is very smooth and glossy with only a few natural flaws noted for accuracy sake on the portrait. The reverse is a bit lighter in color with just a very light coating of microgranularity.
Far superior to most RR-21s in existence today. When found, the RR-21 usually is plagued with post strike damage or horrendous planchets, and a choice VF20 is normally about as good as one can expect to do. This is a very significant piece and would be an upgrade for almost all Vermont collections intact today!
