A very pleasing mid-grade example of this large planchet NJ copper. This piece is a wonderful light tan with smooth and glossy surfaces and very few marks of any kind present.
This piece is made more interesting for the NJ specialist by its very late die state reverse, showing a large die break that has formed on the left of the shield and extents with a small crack all the way to the rim. We have seen very few examples of this die state and we assume that it is missing from many advanced NJ cabinets.
A perfect piece for the colonial type collector or NJ specialist looking for a very rare die state.
